Rid Your
House of Ants
This simple remedy will
save the housewife hours of frustration and shame.
An ant leaves behind
a trail of scent to allow the others to follow, which is why scout
ants are sent out and a entire trail returns. To eliminate ants
in your house, wipe up all scout ants and trails with a cotton wool
swab soaked in vinegar. The quality of vinegar need not matter,
but it should definitely be vinegar and not cider that you use.
The vinegar removes all trace of scent and rids your house of ants.
They will find a new place where they can smell the path the scouts
have taken. This requires diligence on the part of the housewife
since the ants will firstly choose another path, and you will find
them in places that were previously ant free. For future avoidance,
after scrubbing your floors, rinse them in a solution of vinegar
and water. The smell will go away soon and you will not be bothered
by pesky ants to shame you on a summer day. |
