Lamp Black

Do this in a ventilated area such as the summer kitchen or an open porch. Place a metal funnel over a lit kerosene lamp, large end down. Black, oily soot will form on the walls of the funnel. Scrape it out and store in a jar. Do not do this indoors as the smoke will fill your rooms and is quite noxious.
