Grate fine and/or pulverize equal amounts horseradish
root, garlic bulb, onion bulb, ginger root and cayenne peppers.
Peel only the bulbs (garlic and onion) of the papery outer skin.
Do not peel the roots (horseradish and ginger). Depending upon when
you harvest the horseradish you may need to use more or less (strength).
Use equal amounts unless you are using dried, pulverized cayenne
pepper and then use just as much of that to make the formula orange
in color (or to taste if you are sensitive at first).
Squeeze juice from the grated pulp in fine cheesecloth.
The pulp can be used as a poultice for infections of the lungs.
Mix the juice with an equal amount of apple cider vinegar. Cork
it tight and keep in a cool, dark spot, such as a cold house, if
you have such a luxury.
Take 1 teaspoon daily as a tonic and increase to
3 times daily during illness. As your tolerance for the spice grows
you can increase the amount taken at each does to 2 tablespoons.
This will also eliminate worms and other parasites from the intestinal
tract.
